Jordan Januse Announces Campaign for Brazos County Commissioner, Precinct 2
BRYAN, TX – Jordan Januse, a 5th-generation Brazos County native, business owner, and former banking executive, announced his campaign for Brazos County Commissioner, Precinct 2.
Januse’s roots run through Frank’s Country Store, his family’s business that served neighbors for decades before being acquired by TXDOT in 2024 for the FM 1179 expansion. “Losing Frank’s was personal for my family and a reminder of how our government’s decisions directly affect people’s lives. Precinct 2 needs a strong voice at the table. I will fight for taxpayers, demand accountability, and ensure growth is handled responsibly,” Januse said.
Januse spent more than a decade as Vice President at American Momentum Bank, later owned Haynie’s General Store & Restaurant in Richards, and now runs 2J Premier Cleaning, a local business serving families and companies across the Brazos Valley. His priorities include adopting the county’s unused optional homestead exemption to deliver property tax relief, supporting law enforcement and first responders, and investing in safe and reliable roads without wasteful spending.
Januse also thanked outgoing Commissioner Chuck Konderla for his service. “Commissioner Konderla has given years of dedication to this community, and I am grateful for his work,” Januse said. A graduate of Sam Houston State University, he and his wife, Madison, are raising their two children, Jack and Lilly, in Brazos County.
“My family has called this county home for five generations. I want to make sure our children can thrive here, our values are protected, and our taxpayers always come first,” Januse said.
